Responsibilities

Tenure track or Instructor rank (depending on credentials), fall 2024. Teaching undergraduate professional education and science/social studies concepts courses.  

Requirements

Candidates must have an earned master’s in Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution; 18 hours of graduate coursework in science or social studies emphasis (or willingness to acquire); knowledge of content and skills necessary to teach professional education, math and science courses to prospective teachers; U.S. teaching credentials (science and/or social studies related), and three years of U.S. public school teaching experience in science or mathematics. Elementary or middle school science or social studies instruction experience desired. 

Standard Requirements

Requires the ability to work well with diverse populations and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Personal cell phone usage may be required to complete position duties, including multi-function authentication requirements. Regular reliable attendance is required.

This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check. Position is designated as a Responsible Employee as outlined by Title IX. May serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
