Flexible schedule with up to 19 hours per week. 
Description


Staffs the front desk and greets members of the public who arrive seeking police or parking services. Answers general parking questions. Answers phones and assists callers with general business inquiries. Notifies various staff members of persons arriving for appointments. Notifies the police dispatcher of persons seeking police services. Opens or closes the department lobby. Performs general clerical work. Assists Secretary (Office Manager) with projects as needed. Operates the Rydin parking management software: issues parking decals, processes payments, reconciles payments, runs reports, researches outstanding parking citations, processes and sends collection letters.  Performs other duties as assigned.


 
Position Requirements
(skills, experience, licensure, etc.)


Previous experience working in an office environment and/or customer service related industry. Previous cash handling experience. Must have the ability to work well with people, including displeased or irate customers; possess good verbal and written communication skills; exhibit excellent customer service; have good mathematical skills; and must maintain confidentiality of law enforcement sensitive information.


 
Education Requirements


High School Diploma/GED.  Must pass police background check.
