Membership Intake
Membership intake is the membership selection process conducted by MSU's historically Black and Latino/a Greek-letter organizations, which are governed by the Cultural Greek Council (CGC). Early in the fall semester, the CGC fraternities and sororities represented on campus present information about their individual chapters for prospective members. Each chapter will not begin its actual membership intake process until later in the academic year, as CGC affiliated fraternities and sororities typically do not accept a student for membership until the student has completed at least 12-24 hours of college credit with a minimum GPA. Please talk with the chapter(s) you are interested in for full details about their requirements.
CGC Chapters embrace a lifetime commitment philosophy and aim to assure the continuance of academic achievement, political awareness, and community service. We strongly encourage those interested in the Membership Intake process to attend the Meet the Greeks or Interested in Intake sessions held throughout the year.
