The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Midwestern State University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor of French to begin in Fall 2026.
As a faculty member, you will be expected to:
1. Teach 12 credit hours (4 courses) a semester. Face-to-face and online teaching are both expected.
3. Provide service to the department, college, and university, including participation in recruitment and retention activities.
About the College:
The Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences consists of the academic departments of English, humanities, and philosophy; history; psychology; political science; sociology; and world languages and cultures. Each department offers majors, minors, and core curriculum courses. Faculty development funding is available at the university, college, and departmental levels.
- Requirements

Visiting Assistant Professor - Ph.D. required.
Visiting Instructor - Minimum of M.A.
French (or related field) with at least 18 graduate hours in French.
