Our Residence Halls, Killingsworth Hall, Legacy Hall, and McCullough-Trigg Hall, are a great fit for incoming freshmen. These halls have dedicated Residence Life and Housing Staff who are trained to assist students in their first years at MSU Texas and offer specific activities, events, and programming designed to support students as they transition to Midwestern State University. Students are encouraged to become involved, meet new people and maximize their success as Mustangs.
Recognizing the unique needs of our upperclassmen and transfer students, Midwestern State University offers the independence of apartment living with all of the convinces of living on-campus. Sundance Court and Sunwatcher Village are home to many upperclassmen living in two-bedroom or four-bedroom housing units. Each features individual bedrooms, a shared living room, and full kitchens.
Living-Learning Programs (LLPs) are one way for students to enhance their residential experience while meeting other students who share similar interests and majors. National research suggests students participating in LLPs:
- Develop academic and social support systems more quickly than other students
- Network more often with faculty and staff outside of the classroom
- Engage more deeply with their areas of study
MSU Texas offers academic LLPs for Health & Human Services, Math, Science, Business, Education, and Fine Arts Majors, as well as, Special Interest LLPs for Transfer Students, Esports and Gaming, Priddy Scholars, and the Honors Program.

Many students have unique housing needs that require accommodations. To begin this process, we encourage all students to contact the Office of Disability Support Services to learn about the ways that the University can assist them while living and learning at Midwestern State University.
Students who have documentation on file with the Office of Disability Support Services for housing accommodations will need to complete the Housing Accommodations Request Form. Follow the link to Disability Support Services for information on how to complete the Housing Accommodations Request form. Once submitted, you will be contacted by the Office of Residence Life and Housing to provide assistance with the remainder of your room selection process. We will set up a time to meet and determine what course of action is best for your individual living situation.
