Responsibilities

The position is a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin fall 2022.The appointment will fill our curricular needs, which may include Historical Geology, Integrated Life-Earth General Science, Sedimentology & Stratigraphy, Paleobiology, and electives in their field of expertise. Duties also include engaging and assisting with student research endeavors.

 
Requirements

Ph.D. in geosciences or equivalent field (ABD will be considered). The successful candidate must demonstrate a potential for teaching excellence in a vigorous undergraduate and master’s program. We seek a broadly-trained earth scientist with a background in sedimentary systems that may include depositional processes, quantitative stratigraphy, sedimentary geochemistry, Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and evidence of expertise in sedimentary systems, such as publications in refereed journals commensurate with experience.
