The Political Science program seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor. to teach Introductory American and Texas Government courses. This position is a nine-month, non-tenure track contract. The Department of Political Science intends to begin a tenure-track faculty search during the 2022-2023 academic year. The teaching load is 12 hours per semester (4 courses). The teaching load includes teaching introductory Texas and American government, as well as upper-level courses in Political Science and Global Studies. Salary is competitive.

The Department is interested in candidates with a PhD in Political Science, and who will contribute to the mission of the department and university. For the visiting position, all subfields are welcome, but expertise in international politics, global political economy, or European politics is especially welcome.
