Schedule Details

This position pays $10 per hour and is up to 19 hours per week. The weekly schedule is negotiable

 
Description

Performs clerical work.  Duties include answering phone lines, opening and distributing mail, assisting students and faculty, filing, copying or scanning of documents and maintaining records. Assists faculty in a variety of detailed matters. May assist chair with monitoring the department's budget and the various funding accounts. Enters information into databases, prepares travel vouchers and purchase requisitions. Performs other clerical duties as assigned.   

 
Position Requirements
(skills, experience, licensure, etc.)

Should have more than six months experience in secretarial work.

Must have good computer skills and computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good knowledge of business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and office practices and procedures. Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally. Attention to detail and professionalism in speech, appearance, and actions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, faculty, students, and the public. Ability to work independently and complete work in a timely and proficient manner. Ability to assign, supervise, and review the work of other clerical workers. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *Designated as a Responsible Employee as outlined by Title IX. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.

 
Education Requirements

Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business practice and typing.
