Responsibilities

Position involves teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, assisting with recruitment, supervising student research, performing original research, publishing commensurate with the candidate's level, and service to the university, profession and community. Teaching load is 12 hours (with a 3-hour reduction for teaching a Grad course). Preference given to those with experience cybersecurity, data science, graphics, HPC, or systems. Teaching may involve evening and e-courses.

 

Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field required with at least 18 graduate semester hours in computer science field from an accredited US institution. Must hold Ph.D. by Jan 2021.

 
Qualifications
Must have a proven record of effective teaching; be able to relate to students; establish strong working relationships with colleagues; and be able to be a positive representative of the University both on and off campus. Other requirements may vary according the needs of the individual college or academic program. Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act. *Designated as a Responsible Employee as outlined by Title IX. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.
