The McCoy School of Engineering at Midwestern State University invites applications for a full-time 9- month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2026. The James McCoy Endowed faculty position will primarily serve Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students, and partner with MSU's new program in Industrial Technology. The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Primarily teach courses in electrical engineering;
2. Develop a record of research activity involving undergraduate students;
3. Provide service to the department, college, and university;
4. Advise/mentor electrical engineering students;
5. Strengthen industry collaboration.
The McCoy College of Science, Mathematics and Engineering currently has 52 full-time faculty members in 6 academic departments/schools. The College serves more than 700 students in STEM majors and provides graduate programs in Biology, Computer Science, and Geosciences. The McCoy School of Engineering houses a BS in Mechanical Engineering (MENG) program, a BS in Industrial Technology (BSIT) program, a MS in Industrial Technology program, a minor in Petroleum Engineering (PETE), and we are starting the BS in Electrical Engineering program.

Required Qualifications include:
1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (EE) or equivalent field of study (ABO applicants cannot be considered);
2. Preference given to those with ABET accreditation and mentoring of senior capstone projects experience;
3. The ability to develop and teach a broad number of basic electrical engineering courses and labs such as ontrol system analysis, programmable logic controls, electrical power design, and senior design is desired;
4. The selected candidate should have a vested interest in undergraduate teaching, research, and service.
Preferred qualifications include demonstrated success in teaching, mentoring, and broader engagement.
