Responsibilities
The Political Science program seeks a lecturer to teach Introductory American and Texas Government courses. This position is a nine month non-tenure track contract and is renewable given budgetary approval. Teaching load is 4 courses/12 credit hours per semester, and candidates should have experience teaching introductory courses in US and Texas government. Salary is $40,000.
Requirements

The Department is interested in candidates with an MA or PhD in Political Science, and who will contribute to the mission of the department and university.

Requires the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Personal cell phone usage may be required to complete position duties, including multi-function authentication requirements. Regular reliable attendance is required.

This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check. Position is designated as a Responsible Employee as outlined by Title IX. May serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
