Title
Director, Regional Simulation Center
Description

Reports to the North Central Texas Health Care Consortium via, Chair, Wilson School of Nursing, MSU. Responsible for the administration of daily operations for the North Central Texas Regional Simulation Center.

Examples

Hires, supervises, and evaluates center staff. Works with the Competency Committee to develop transcript and performance standards. Collaborates with course coordinators at MSU and Vernon College, and United Regional Health Care System, Manager of Education, to facilitate and provide competency validation for students and staff. Supervises the maintenance of simulation center equipment.

Physical Condition
Experience

Current licensure / eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas required. Teaching experience preferred. Computer technology experience desired.

Knowledge
Education

Master's degree in nursing (MSN) required.

Additional Requirements

Requires the ability to work well with diverse populations and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be well organized, effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders and be able to deal with ambiguous situations. Upon employment, must participate in the online Preceptor program offered by Midwestern State University Wilson School of Nursing. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.
