- Description
- Supports and cultivates the Area Health Education Center programs and partnerships in collaboration with the Center Manager. Assists with implementation of AHEC program activities, community outreach, financial oversight, and planning of activities. Also serves as the principal clerical support for the AHEC.
- Examples
- Work involves developing and implementing strategies for raising awareness of AHEC programs, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with hospitals, physicians, health practitioners, educators, civic leaders, community stakeholders, and various organizations. Performs responsible and complex administrative support or technical program assistance work. Reviews and analyzes financial reports. Provides support to the center's budgeting process. Prepares travel documents and may coordinate travel arrangements. Assures staff have necessary information for activities. Performs related work as assigned.

- Experience in financial planning with strong experience in operational/administrative management.
- Knowledge
- Ability to plan, organize and control the work of multifaceted office. Ability to keep complex records, assemble and organize data of a complex nature, and prepare and submit required reports from such records. Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Proficiency in written and mathematical processes. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, business, marketing, communications, political science or health-related field.
