Title
Coordinator, Tutoring and Academic Support Programs
Description

Assists with the development and coordination of Tutoring and Academic Support Programs, specifically with participating in events, presentations, and programming. Performs administrative work and assists with the department’s daily activities. This position provides opportunities to develop new programming, collaborate across campus, have opportunities to travel, and be a part of a team-orientated office that cultivates productivity and positivity and where professional goals are supported.  

Examples

Collects and synthesizes data pertaining to Tutoring and Academic Support Programs. Collaborates with campus partners to coordinate, oversee, and host TASP events. Assists with budget management, oversees timeclock approvals, and purchases supplies and resources. Responsible for office administrative duties such as responding to correspondence and calls, collaborating with instructors for needed materials, requesting office repairs, and monitoring foot traffic within the space. Helps maintain the TASP website. Maintains thorough and specialized knowledge of Midwestern State University's policies and programs specifically regarding suspension and probation. Acts as liaison with colleges, Information Systems, and Webmaster staff. Reports to the Director of TASP.

Physical Condition

Sufficient dexterity, agility, and physical condition to perform routine office tasks. Light lifting will be required (moving office equipment and supplies, setting up tables and catering for meetings, etc.) 

Experience

Prior experience in the area of student services, student affairs, and/or student activities is preferred. 

Knowledge

Must be proficient in the use of computers and commonly used office software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Publisher and Outlook.

Education

 

Bachelor's degree preferred. College coursework with equivalent work experience may be substituted.
