In the Heat Transfer Laboratory, students are trained on heat transfer experiments for the MENG 3234 Heat Transfer course. The lab reinforces information learned in lectures and provides students a hands-on experience with a variety of experiments involving heat transfer. This lab include: Determination of Thermal Conductivity of Simple and Composite Walls, Radial Conduction along Cylindrical Walls, Free and Forced Convection Heat Transfer, Combined Convection and Radiation, Radiation Errors in Temperature Measurement, Temperature Distribution along an Extended Cylindrical Fin, Inverse Square Law of Radiation, Stirling Engine, and Aerolab Subsonic Wind Tunnel Laboratory.
