The McCoy School of Engineering offers some of the most affordable engineering programs in Texas.
Program: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is an ABET-accredited program. It provides Mechanical Engineering students a broad education to prepare them for employment or continue their education with a master's or Ph.D. program. Graduates work in a variety of areas, including automotive, space, transportation, computer, construction, heating and cooling, and power generation.
Program: Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology
Industrial Technology follows the guidelines of the Association of Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). Students learn safety, supply chain, facilities design, energy, construction, production, and project planning. The degree prepares graduates to operate and maintain complex industrial systems in manufacturing, oil/gas, education, and government.
Minor: Engineering
The engineering minor is designed for students who want to supplement their current major with engineering concepts. It is especially helpful for biology or chemistry majors, who want to go on to graduate school. However, other majors can also benefit from this minor.
Minor: Petroleum Engineering
Students from a variety of disciplines can minor in petroleum engineering, including majors in engineering, geosciences, or chemistry who seek employment in the petroleum industry after graduation.
