Family is important. MSU Texas supports employees and students who are nursing. We are happy to offer a private, secure and clean space to express milk or nurse. The space can also be used as a quiet room for parenting or expecting students who need to rest for medical reasons.
Locations
Private lactation spaces are available for students to breastfeed or express milk. Rooms are open to use unless reserved ahead of time. If you would like to reserve a room for a certain time, please email ruby.garrett@msutexas.edu.
The following locations are available:
Bridwell Hall 213 (West College of Education near Centennial Hall)
Days Available: Monday – Friday, 8am-10pm

Room contains chairs, table space, refrigerator, microwave, lamp, water, paper towels, soap, pump wipes and outlets.
Sink to wash items is in the bathroom, down the hall to the right.
Bea Wood 121 (Inside Language Lab in Protho Yeager)
Days Available: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm

Sink to wash items is across the hall in the breakroom.

Guidelines for Use of Rooms
- Lock the door and use door hanger to ensure privacy.
- Follow the procedure above for reserving space, if applicable.
- Do not exceed your time that is reserved.
- Clean up after each use, out of respect for the next user.
- Unlock the door and put door hanger inside once you leave.
