To complete a degree in four years, you need to enroll in an average of 15 credit hours* each fall/spring semester.
Most bachelor’s degrees require at least 120 credit hours, approximately 10 courses per year.
Do the math! 15 credit hours x 2 semesters = 30 hours per year. 30 hours x 4 years = 120 hours.
*Of course, there are some degree plans, such as Nursing and Dental Hygiene, that may not fit the 15 hours per semester model. However, these programs do keep students on track by guiding them to complete an average of 30 hours each year. They also have a great track record for keeping students progressing toward their degree in a timely manner. So, talk with your advisor about the best path to get you to graduation!
