Title
Training Manager, Health Sciences and Human Services (HRSA Grant)
Description

Supports the work of the HRSA Healthcare Worker & First responder Resilience Training Program (HWFRRT) grant through managing of educational offerings to the healthcare workers and first responders in the community. Schedules and coordinates events and speakers, reserves rooms and places to hold events, and coordinates all logistics of the event and conferences, including liaising with speakers and vendors and ensuring a positive trainee experience. Also responsible for aiding in promoting and advertising the conferences in the community.

Examples

 

Responsible for finding quotes, drafting speaker agreements, assisting with expenditures and tracking expenses related to grant conferences and trainings. Assists with grant marketing and advertising. Schedules all grant hosted events. Sets up and tears down all grant hosted events. Ensures conferences/events run smoothly from start to finish. Manages all registration aspects of grant hosted events. Assists speakers with travel arrangements and payments. Ensures healthcare workers and first responders feel heard and supported throughout grant programming. Assists with grant compliance by ensuring all expenditures align with the grant scope of work and follow federal, state and university guidelines. Works with the grant principal investigator (PI) and the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR) team.

Physical Condition

Ability to operate a personal computer, ability to sit for extended periods of time, ability to move across campus.

Experience

Requires experience in organizing and scheduling multiple dates and speakers. Experience in marketing preferred. At least two years in event management/coordination.

Knowledge

Excellence in vendor management. Skilled in problem solving. Excellent recruitment skills. Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft office. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to maintain case files. Ability and desire to give presentations for groups of students, faculty, and staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in management, public relations or relevant field).

Additional Requirements

 

Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness/ability to travel in the region. Must be well organized and able to communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues. Must have abilities to maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule. * Grant Funded Position.

Requires the ability to maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
