Title
Library Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
Description

Works with the University Librarian to develop and improve a marketing strategy that promotes library resources and services to the university community and the Wichita Falls community. Responsible for the creation, promotion, and marketing of library programming, including events and exhibits, to create awareness and engagement with the resources and services that Moffett Library offers. Reports to the University Librarian.

Examples

Informs, engages, and builds relationships with the university community. Collaborates with library team and university stakeholders to develop, foster, and market library events and exhibits that are educational, informative, innovative, and entertaining. Works in collaboration with librarians to identify and develop strategies to enhance perceptions of the library and improve user engagement with library programming. Collaborates with the library team and university partners to establish a library brand and assess the impact of library marketing. Manages the promotion and marketing of the library’s Youtube channel and social media presence.

Physical Condition
Experience

Experience with creating marketing and promoting library programming, including events and exhibits in an academic environment. Must be able to build relationships and collaborate with academic and administrative departments in an academic environment. Experience in an academic library preferred.

Knowledge

Knowledge of library resources and services.

Education

Associate’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
