- Senior Associate Director of Flower Mound
- Description
Responsible to the Director of the Flower Mound Distance Support Learning Center (DSLC) for coordinating and supervising the daily operations and maintenance of the DSLC. In addition, this position provides leadership in recruitment and enrollment activities to two-year college partners and local career and technical centers. Assists the director in implementing enrollment goals, co-curricular activities, and partnership initiatives with North Central Texas College (NCTC). Assists the director in annual assessment reporting and budget planning. Assists other DSLC staff as needed.
- Examples
Work with NCTC and Parker Square on daily maintenance and operations of the DSLC; for example, classroom reservations, custodial oversight, event planning, environmental controls, safety, and reconciliation of expenses. Continually identifies emerging trends in programs at two-year colleges; work with academic and enrollment partners on new areas of study and requisite processes; alongside the director, will represent the DSLC at collaborative or strategic alliance opportunities; present material and data where appropriate; oversee commitments made on behalf of MSU Texas. Manages partnership initiatives and recruitment efforts with two-year college partners and MSU Faculty, Admissions, and Registrar; assists MSU Faculty and Staff on completion pathways, transfer fair programming, and other innovative transfer activities. Assists in recruitment activities for graduate programs at area independent school districts and job fairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Physical Condition
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and bend and stoop while filing.
- Experience
Three or more years’ experience in maintenance and operations, budget oversight, and relationship marketing. Has the ability to learn academic curricula quickly and translate to potential students and two-year partners. Previous community college or university work experience preferred.
- Knowledge
Should have knowledge of standard recruitment and transfer practices of two-year colleges. Familiar with best practices and standards toward maintenance of facilities such as cleaning, scheduling, and event planning. Requires good computer skills such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Education
Bachelor's required; master's preferred.

Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally. Attention to detail and professionalism in speech, appearance, and actions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and complete work in a timely and proficient manner Must be a student-oriented individual with strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills; be able to communicate effectively with a variety of constituencies, both on and off campus; and be able to keep detailed and accurate records. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *Designated as a Responsible Employee as outlined by Title IX. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.
