- Description
Receives undergraduate and graduate applications, test scores and other miscellaneous documents for domestic and international applicants. Completes data entry into student information system. Sets up initial application files for processing prospective students and notifies them of their application status. Manages imaged and paper student files, adds transcripts and test scores as received. Assists with clerical and administrative work involving accurate and skillful preparation, examination and evaluation of applications for freshmen, transfer, re-enrolling and graduate students to determine admission status. Reports directly to the Director of Processing and Operations.
- Examples
Sets up prospective student files. Evaluates high school and collegiate transcripts and test scores to determine, if admission criteria has been met and notifies prospective students of missing credentials. Evaluates and enters transfer credits, test scores, and determines residency for tuition purposes. Creates and updates database of students processed and evaluated for reporting to the Director of Processing and Operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Experience
Experience in a college admissions office working in a team environment is desired. Experience and proficiency with personal computers, specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook and Banner (online student information systems) and other appropriate office equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge
Requires considerable knowledge and use of excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and commonly used office software programs. Must be able to perform 10-key by touch. Must have understanding of effective office procedures; ability to plan and manage multiple tasks; understand and follow complex, detailed instructions; and make decisions based on standard office procedures. General knowledge of admissions procedures and university policies is preferred.
- Education
High School diploma required, college work strongly preferred.
