Title
Computer- Based Test Center Administrator
Description

Works with the Assistant Director to provide leadership and direction for the testing office and its activities. Works collaboratively within the university and the community to enhance testing services. Responsible for supervision and administration for computer-based and paper-based examinations provided by Testing Services in one or more of the centers/labs. Upholds the professional standards and guidelines established by the National Collegiate Testing Association, Prometric testing services, and PearsonVue. Reports to the Director of the Career Management Center and Testing Services and is supervised by the Assistant Director of Testing Services.

Examples

Interacts and maintains liaison with students, faculty, staff, administration and outside agencies to facilitate effectiveness of testing programs. Promptly responds to requests for information. Accurately compiles requested data and corresponding reports in a timely manner. Maintains test security and ensures a quiet, suitable testing environment for all examinees. Prepares and assists examinees prior to each Testing Services examination. Attends regular web training sessions to stay abreast of new policies and procedures. Supervises and trains student assistants. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Condition

Mild physical activity with occasional lifting of objects weighing over twenty pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods of time, to climb stairs, stoop, bend, and reach overhead. Sufficient strength, stamina, and mobility to perform manual tasks associated with programming and outreach responsibilities of position.

Experience

Requires demonstrated experience working with paper-based and/or computer-based test administrations and office management experience.

Knowledge

Strong computer usage skill set including the Web and Microsoft office systems. basic knowledge of computer networking terminology.

Education

A bachelor's degree required or substantial related work experience.

Additional Requirements

Requires the ability to work well with diverse populations and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Maintains a current Certification of Authorization for all examinations given in Testing Services. Strictly adheres to the standards, policies, and procedures outlined by individual testing companies and set within each of the three Testing Services Labs/Centers. Maintains security of all testing materials and equipment. Upholds confidentiality and integrity of testing results. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires excellent customer service skills. Must have the sensitivity and skill to work inclusively with a diverse and multicultural student, employee, and community population. *Some travel, evening and weekend work required. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.
