Title
Business and Fleet Manager, Facilities Services
Description

Responsible for professional and administrative work in the management of Facilities Services that involves planning, organizing and performing a variety of complex technical and administrative duties. Works under the general supervision of the Associate Vice President, Facilities Services with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Examples

Manages fiscal aspects of facilities operation, including budgets for projects, facilities maintenance and utilities, and Housing/Student Center custodial and maintenance. Supervises fleet operations, maintenance and scheduling. Maintains files, fiscal records and restricted information, oversees Facilities personnel transactions and records. Performs specialized tasks requiring a high level of skill in computer operations and preparing detailed reports for internal use and various state agencies.


Physical Condition
Experience

Should have at least five years experience in professional business accounting and office management including general office practices and personnel supervision.

Knowledge

Should be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and database computer programs. Should have a thorough knowledge of accounting practices and business management. Some knowledge of construction, maintenance and mechanical terminology and practices desired.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or supplemental college level courses in accounting.

Requires the ability to work well with diverse populations and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Must have the ability to work independently on difficult or complex assignments. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively and have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to exercise sound judgment in stressful situations. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *This position is designated as security sensitive (Mod) and requires a criminal background check.
