- Description
Coordinates and supervises the activities of all print shop personnel. Assigns and prioritizes work, and designates responsibilities. Reports to the Director, Marketing and Public Information.
- Examples
Determines material requirements and assists with ordering materials. Inspects and evaluates the quality of jobs processed. Prepares cost estimates for requested projects.
- Physical Condition
Moderate physical activity with occasional lifting of objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Experience
Must have at least 10 years of experience in the printing profession. Must also have experience in project management with the ability to set goals and establish timelines.
- Knowledge
Must have extensive knowledge of printing equipment, work scheduling, and quality control methods. Must be an effective organizer and performance evaluator. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, supervisors, and customers.
- Education
Graduation from high school or equivalent along with training or experience related to the field of work.
- Additional Requirements
Requires the ability to work well with diverse populations and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Five to ten years experience in printing operations. Knowledge of printing equipment and processes is a must. Must have interpersonal skills to supervise others and the ability to work with a wide variety of people. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *Requires employment physical exam. *This position is designated as security sensitive (mod) and requires a criminal background check.
