The MSU Texas Financial Management Association chapter was established in the spring of 2005. The FMA is a global leader in developing and disseminating information about financial decision making.
The mission:
- Broaden the common interests between educators and practitioners.
- Provide opportunities for professional interaction between and educators, practitioners and students.
- Promote the development and understanding of basic and applied research and of sound financial practices.
- Enhance the quality of education in finance.
The MSU FMA chapter serves as a communication channel between students and business professionals; disseminates information about professional education and certification in finance and related business fields; educates students on career opportunities along with requirements and benefits in specific fields and provides opportunities for students to build leadership, teamwork, and professional skills.
