Resources for Food & Nutrition Support
On Campus
- Mustangs Pantry is an emergency aid program at MSU Texas designed to improve lives and help supplement the needs of students experiencing food insecurity.
- Canan Food Security Program seeks to provide a reliable, nutritious source of food in the Mesquite Dining Hall or Maverick’s Corner for MSU students suffering from food insecurity.
Off Campus
- Colonial Baptist Church Food Pantry provides quality food items to fight the need for critical nutrition to individuals and families from all over our community experiencing food insecurity. Available on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 4 PM-5:30 PM (Closed on Holidays).
- Dream Center Saturday at Evangel Church is a drive-thru food distribution. Provides food on the third Saturday of each month, 8:30am-10AM.
- Grace Ministries provides food and temporary assistance to those who are in crisis or an unexpected situation. The food pantry is open on Monday and Tuesdays from 10:00 am – 1:45 pm and Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 11:45 am.
- Interfaith Outreach Services can assist with housing, food, diapers, utility bills, and medical equipment.
- North Texas Pantry is a local food pantry in Floral Heights. Open every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 9am-11am.
- SonShine House provides food and clothing to those in need, in Wichita Falls. The SonShine House is open on Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wichita Falls Area Food Bank offers food assistance free of charge. Includes food pantry and mobile pantry.
Online Resources
- Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food.
- Texas TANF Cash Help provides cash payments to help families pay for food, clothing, housing and other essentials.
