Thanks in part to a generous donation by Alanna Camerl, Moffett Library offers a complete studio designed to record spoken word for podcasts, audio stories, and other media. Located in the lobby of the first floor, Mustangs Studio includes the equipment and software to record, edit, and produce professional quality podcasts. The studio is free for all current students, faculty, and staff after completing the required Studio Training Course.

Reservation & Use Policy
Mustangs Studio Reservation Policy
- Total active reservation time can be up to 4 hours in a 24-hour period.
- The studio may be reserved up to two weeks in advance using the reservation system.
- The online room reservation system requires submitting a brief form and confirming the reserved time via email. Library staff will not make reservations over the phone but instead will direct patrons to the studio reservation website.
- The key for the studio can be checked out at Moffett Library’s circulation desk directly before your scheduled reservation. Only the individual under whose name the reservation was booked can pick up the key.
- You must have a valid ID and Mustangs ID number to check out the studio at the circulation desk. The key must be returned immediately when the reservation expires.
- If you do not arrive within 30 minutes of your booking time, the room will be available to the next person on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The individual named on the reservation is responsible for securing the room during their reservation and locking the room when they exit.
- The individual named on the reservation is responsible for any individuals, and the actions of those individuals, invited into the space while the room is checked out in their name.
- A replacement fee will be charged to the individual that booked the studio if the key is lost.
Mustangs Studio Use Policy
- The space is intended for the recording of spoken word only.
- Drinks are permitted if they are in a spill-proof container. Food is not allowed in the studio.
- All personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the owner.
- Do not modify or troubleshoot any equipment in the studio.
- Do not lean on, push, or move the studio tables.
- If there are any issues with the studio when you arrive for your reservation (damage or poor condition), please report it immediately.
- Altering the studio or leaving it in a condition not usable for the next patron will be grounds for loss of studio privileges.
Remember to copy your files from the studio computer to your own media or online storage before you vacate the studio. Files left on the computer may be deleted at any time without notice.
