Getting to know your Admissions Counselor

Q: What is your favorite thing(s) about MSU?

A: My favorite thing about MSU is the sense of community. From the moment I stepped on campus, people invested in me and made me feel like I belonged. The relationships I built through being a Student Ambassador, Orientation Leader, and Tour Guide shaped my college experience and showed me how one connection can create opportunities.

Q: Favorite place to hang out in Wichita Falls?

A: I enjoy spending time at local coffee shops around Wichita Falls. It’s a great place to connect with people, catch up on work, and enjoy the community.

Q: What was the greatest lesson that you learned in college?

A: One of the greatest lessons I learned is that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. College taught me to step outside my comfort zone, build relationships, and take opportunities even when I didn’t feel fully prepared.

Q: What was your favorite class in college? Why?

A: My favorite class in college was anything that had to do with Mass Communication because they combined storytelling, creativity, and connecting with people. The class taught me how to communicate effectively and how stories connect us all.

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: I’m passionate about helping students discover opportunities and realize their potential. As someone who benefited from support and mentorship during college, I’m looking forward to helping others and helping them navigate their own journey.

Q: Who has had the greatest influence on your life?

A: The people who have invested in me throughout my life, including mentors, educators, family members, and other leaders have had the greatest influence on me. Their encouragement helped shape my confidence, growth, and desire to pour into others.
