Admissions Criteria

To be considered for admission, the following basic requirements must be met:

  1. Be eligible for admission to MSU if not currently an MSU student. MSUTexas Admissions 
  2. Be eligible for readmission if already earned a BSRS or BSRT degree through MSU.
  3. Must be certified and registered as a radiologic technologist (R), or radiation therapist (T), or as a nuclear medicine technologist (N), with the ARRT or NMTCB, or as a sonographer with the ARRT or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Students in the MSU BSRT program are eligible to apply.
  4. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater on all college-level work and be in good academic standing.
  5. Have reliable Internet access (high speed recommended) and a working email.
  6. Complete the online MRI Certificate Program Application
  7. Submit a student copy of your most recent transcripts to radiologic.sciences@msutexas.edu
  8. Send official transcripts to the Midwestern State University Admissions Office.
    • Official transcripts are those which are sent directly from the issuing institution to our Admissions Office. They must be original and not copies.
    • Transcripts must be received from all institutions attended. An online transcript request form is available for applicants to fill out and print so that the proper information is received by our Admissions Office.
    • THEA-To determine if you have met THEA criteria, please read the information concerning this requirement carefully.
  9. Apply to the BSRS program if a concurrent degree is desired.
