You may have financial needs when attending college while supporting dependents. Below are resources on and off campus that can help with finances, utilities, food, etc. 

On Campus 

  • Mustangs Pantry is an emergency aid program at MSU Texas designed to improve lives and help supplement the needs of students experiencing food insecurity.
  • Canan Food Security Program seeks to provide a reliable, nutritious source of food in the Mesquite Dining Hall or Maverick’s Corner for MSU students suffering from food insecurity.

Community Resources

  • 211 for Wichita County Services is a free statewide 24-hour information and referral service. By simply dialing 2-1-1, callers can receive information about community and social services, such as food pantries, emergency shelter, rent assistance, utility bill assistance, child care, and senior services to name a few.
  • Faith Mission provides emergency shelter, addiction recovery program, job readiness, and vouchers for clothing and shoes at the Faith Resale Store. 
  • Interfaith Outreach Services can assist with housing, food, diapers, utility bills, and medical equipment. 
  • SonShine House provides food and clothing to those in need, in Wichita Falls. The SonShine House is open on Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
