The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory degree at Midwestern State University consists of three years of academics and MSU followed by a one-year clinical practicum at a NAACLS approved facility. The student is responsible for their application and admission process to an approved clinical facility. Although other programs are available in Texas, currently MSU has affiliation agreements for the clinical component with United Regional Health Care System, 11th Street facility, Wichita Falls and the Clinical Laboratory Scientist Program of Tarleton State University of Ft. Worth. Upon completion of the practicum, the student is eligible to "sit" for the Medical Technology Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
