The Center for Continuing Education offers quality, diverse learning experiences for members of the community who wish to access the resources of the university in nontraditional ways. It offers a variety of enrichment courses, online development for health care professionals and Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The Center for Continuing Education facilitates the public service mission of Midwestern State University through extension of Center resources to audiences other than students enrolled for resident credit.

The Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers baccalaureate degrees with majors in English, history, humanities, international studies, political science, psychology, sociology, and Spanish. The college also offers minors in these fields as well as French and philosophy. In addition to the traditional Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees, the programs of the college include the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree, with an emphasis in professional development and in an occupational specialty.

The Libra Foundation and Mrs. Elizabeth Bourland Hawley: Thanks to the support and generosity of Mr.John Hirschi, thru the Libra Foundation, and Mrs. Elizabeth Bourland Hawley, Speakers and Issues Series has been able to consolidate as a strong campus organization.
