The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for submitting official data and reports to fulfill state and federal requirements. We also provide data so that students can make informed decisions regarding their institutions of choice.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

IPEDS collects data from over 7,000 postsecondary institutions across the United States. Collected information includes data on student enrollment, graduation rates, program completions, student financial aid, institutional finances, and faculty/staff. The IPEDS College Navigator website is provided by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and provides easily accessible data on institutions. View the IPEDS College Navigator summary for Midwestern State University.

The IPEDS Data Feedback Report (DFR) is a report generated with data submitted by institutions to IPEDS and provides useful comparisons between data submitted by institutions and peer institutions. The figures in this report provide insight on key success indicators and are based on the most recent data available.

Common Data Set (CDS)

The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers as represented by the College Board, Peterson’s, and U.S. News & World Report. The combined goal of this collaboration is to improve the quality and accuracy of information provided to all involved in a student’s transition into higher education, as well as to reduce the reporting burden on data providers.
