What Scholarships Are Available to You?
As you can see below, there are a number of great scholarships offered at MSU Texas!
General Merit Scholarships are determined based on your prior academic achievements.
For fall applicants, the deadline date is May 1 for freshman, and July 1 for transfer students.
For spring applicants, the deadline is November 1 for all students.
Note: All scholarships are subject to available funding.

The Priddy Scholars Program made a way for me. I come from a middle-class family, the middle of three. Not only did the Priddy scholarship help me financially get through school, but I also credit the program for being the reason I became so heavily involved on campus.

How Do I Qualify for Scholarships?
Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements. As stated above, our general merit scholarships are based on your prior achievements that we obtain through your application to MSU Texas.
Remember, to maximize your financial aid potential, it is important to complete the FAFSA or TASFA by the March 15 priority deadline.

Are there GPA or academic performance requirements to maintain scholarship eligibility?
In most cases, yes. Please consult your scholarships to learn more.
Can scholarships be used for expenses beyond tuition, such as books, housing, or other educational costs?
Are scholarships renewable each year or do I need to reapply?
It depends on your scholarship. Many scholarships renew as long as you maintain the eligibility requirements, but others are term limited.
Once admitted to MSU Texas, you will receive an offer letter with additional details regarding your scholarships. The only university provided scholarships that are renewable are merit scholarships.
Can I earn more scholarship money than the cost of attendance?
Are other scholarships available besides the ones on this website?
Yes. Students should check with the department in which they are majoring for scholarship opportunities in that area.
