Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) Fee Reduction Program

The GRE Fee Reduction is a need-based program offered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) and a limited number of GRE Fee Reduction Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.   

A Fee Reduction Voucher may be used for one GRE General Test and/or one GRE Subject Test. Individuals meeting the eligibility requirements will be required to pay 50 percent of the full test fee.

 

To apply for a GRE Fee Reduction Voucher:

  • Students will be required to send to ETS a copy of their financial aid Student Aid Report (SAR) (you may login to fafsa.ed.gov to print your SAR) AND/OR a completed GRE Fee Reduction Request Form.

 

  • Upon review of the Request form by ETS, students who meet the need-based guidelines will receive a GRE Fee Reduction Voucher from ETS to take to the General Test and/or a Subject Test for 50 percent of the full test fee.
