Teacher Education Committee
Purpose
To oversee admission to the West College of Education and student teaching and to consider and recommend curriculum changes.
Meets at least once every semester.
Personnel
Deans of Colleges participating in Teacher Education, the Chairs of the Departments in the College of Education, English, Mathematics, History, Art, Theatre, Music, World Languages and Cultures, Biology, and the Certification Officer as well as public school and community representatives appointed by the Dean of the College of Education. The Dean of the West College of Education and Professional Studies serves as Chair. Chairs of teacher certification programs are required to be members of this committee.
