Core Curriculum Committee
Purpose
To review course proposals for inclusion in the core course list; regularly to assess the core curriculum with attention to the core experience, the mission of the university, and relevant THECB guidelines; and to make recommendations to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs based on this review and evaluation.
Meets at least once annually.
Personnel
Twelve members with at least one member from each of the University’s six colleges who will serve a three-year term. The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs will appoint a committee chair who will serve a two-year term, and deans recommend other faculty members. Includes a representative from Institutional Effectiveness (ex-officio), a representative from Academic Affairs Administration (ex-officio), and a non-voting member from the Academic Advising Committee.
