Admissions Committee
Purpose
The Admissions Committee recommends admission policies for undergraduates, ensures adherence to policies set by the University and the State of Texas, and to serve as the admissions committee for students who do not meet stated admission criteria.
Personnel
The Director of Admissions serves as chair. The Associate Director of Admissions, two faculty members, an advisor from one professional college (recommended by the Academic Advising Committee), and a representative from the Tutoring and Academic Support Programs (recommended by TASP Director) are committee appointees.
Alternates will be appointed and will be expected to serve if the regular member(s) cannot attend. Alternate members, when serving in the regular member’s place, have the same rights and privileges as the regular member. Following their term as alternates the alternates move to committee member status.
Meets as needed.
