Academic Advising Committee
Purpose
To advise the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs on all issues relating to undergraduate academic advising including information gathering and distribution, advisor training and evaluation, and policies.
Personnel
The Associate Vice President for Academic Innovation and Success, Director for Tutoring and Academic Support Programs, the Academic Coordinator for Student Athletes (recommended by Athletic Director), Academic Counselors from each college appointed by the respective dean, a representative each from the Registrar’s Office recommended by Registrar, the Graduate School rep. (recommended by Grad School Dean), a representative from Admissions (recommended by Admissions Director), the Director of Distance Education, a representative from the Core Curriculum Committee (non-voting), and two student representatives and alternates recommended by SGA.
Meets at least once each semester.
