Institutional Review Board

Purpose

To ensure that research accomplished by students, staff, and faculty under the auspices of the university follows federal regulations related to the protection of privacy, safety, health, and welfare of persons who are subjects in that research.

Meets at least once annually, then as needed to review proposals.

Personnel

The chair of the IRB committee, one faculty member from each college, and a community member with an appropriate professional background who is not otherwise affiliated in any way with the institution.
