Hispanic Heritage Month Events

Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15, the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries, and lasts through October 15. This commemoration began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was then extended to a month-long observance in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan. Today the Hispanic and Latino community makes up almost 1/5th of the U.S. population. At MSU Texas, we invite all students, faculty, and surrounding community to appreciate and celebrate Hispanic culture through a variety of events.

Below is the list of the events planned for the month. We encourage all students, staff and faculty to learn more about the Hispanic cultures by participating in these events.

Below are the events for September 15 - October 15 at MSU Texas. For more details on events, please visit MustangsLink. You can download the flyer here.
