I wish to help change MSU for the better. I desire more transparency from important offices on campus, such as Financial Aid and the Business Office, to wish to work to reduce stress on the student body and support health and well-being. I also want to begin to reach out to the local community and convey the importance of our students positively impacting families, organizations, and businesses around us.

Major: Sociology

As a non-traditional student, I understand the complexities of college life and know that every path towards higher educations is unique and deserves representations. I believe that in order for MSU to benefit all of its students, student leaders from various organizations must work together with faculty, staff, and administration to provide a safe and inclusive campus environment. As Vice President, I promise to be open-minded, empathetic, and transparent. I will work diligently to represent the students od MSU Texas to the best of mt abilities. Outside of my life on campus, I am a mother and a performing singer-songwriter under the stage name "Hazel". I have made the President's Honor Roll for the last three semesters and have been nominated for both Sophomore and Freshman Woman of the Year. Last Year, I served as the inaugural Chairs of the SGA Diversity and Inclusion Committee, the senate of the Sociology CLub, as well as a member of the Black Student Union and the NAACP.

I currently work as Aquatics Director at the WF YMCA and intern at a law firm downtown. These work experiences show my hard work ethic and skill that easily transfer over to my extracurricular and academic work. I was awarded the honor of the President's Honor Roll lasts semester with a GPA of 4.0, showing the dedication I regularly demonstrate in everyday life. I also am a volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters where I serve as a mentor to my 'little sister'. I will use my passion and experience to positively impact the MSU community by working to improve campus communication for events, organize beneficial events for student careers, and devote more time to service and advocacy projects for the community. All of my experience goes to show my dedication for positions just like this and my drive to help out in any way possible.
