Faculty members who wish to order books, journals or media items for their classes can contact the Collection Development Librarian directly. Faculty can also make requests with the online Materials Request Form. Please remember that under normal conditions the library requires 1 to 2 months to process an order, receive it, and then catalog it. In most cases we can shorten that time, but please order materials you need for the next semester as early as possible. If a book is a Rush Order, please indicate that.
They are a number of ways to determine the current status of a book/item you have requested.
- You may call the Collection Development Librarian, phone 940-397-4169, and ask them to check on the status of your request.
- You might look in the library’s online catalog, WorldCat Discovery. If the book is "On Order" it means it was ordered but has not arrived in the library yet; "In Process" means that it has arrived but is not completely catalogued yet. If the book is not listed at all you would want to contact the Collection Development Librarian.
Students and staff who wish to suggest books, journals or media ideas for the library can use the online Materials Request Form
If you would like to donate books to the library, please first view the Gift Policy and contact the Collection Development Librarian. All gifts are accepted with the understanding that the library staff will study the items and add them to the collection if they meet the requirements of our Collection Development Policy.
If you would like to make a donation to Moffett Library in honor/memory of someone, you may contact either the Collection Development Librarian directly or the Office of Donor Services. The librarians will select an appropriate book/item with your gift and add it to our collection. A nameplate will be added to the item to indicate that it was purchased in honor/memory of the person you named.
