In order to ensure that your pages load as quickly as possible, all graphics should be saved at the web optimized resolution of 72dpi. Additionally, graphics should be saved in the appropriate format for their content (JPG, GIF, PNG).
Graphics should be sized for their intended display location. Because the official MSU Texas template handles image scaling in order to display the best images across all screens and devices, images should be sized 1.5 or 2 times the intended size. For example, for an image that you would like displayed in a 100px x 200px space, the actual image file should be saved at approximately 200px x 400px in size.

The Midwestern State University image gallery is a central resource of images for use by graphic designers, website developers and campus communicators and is available for use on a restricted basis.
The image gallery contains photographs from and is managed by the Office of Marketing and Public Information. Images may be used only for publications, advertisements, and/or websites produced by or for Midwestern State University. The MSU Texas Website utilizes Open Sans, Helvetica Neue, and Roboto Slab typefaces. However, styles have been written to automatically format attractive, readable headers and paragraphs.
Maroon (PMS 202) and Gold (PMS 124) are the official colors of MSU Texas. Complimentary shades of gray are used to complete the Web templates. When utilizing digital design, we utilize the hex codes for the official colors.

Web use of photographs and graphic images must comply with U.S. copyright and trademark laws with permission of the creator/owner. Releases must be obtained from all models granting permission for the specific terms of use.
If you process images in Photoshop, remember to use the “save for Web” function and keep image size to 50k or less and resolution at 72 dpi.
