Anyone at MSU Texas who publishes and maintains online information for this university is considered to be a web content owner. Each college, department, school or other area must designate an individual as the primary content editor who serves as the point of contact for communication and discussion concerning web content publication and maintenance. Web content owners are a conduit for:
- Enhanced communications regarding University web site management policies, requirements, and recommendations
- Sharing of best practices and tools
- Providing appropriate training, including General Web Education, site accessibility, and content management system
- Sharing centrally-received feedback with the appropriate individual units
- Soliciting feedback from the University community regarding website management issues
Content Editors are an integral part of the overall improvements in process for MSU Texas web communications.
