How to use One Drive

This is a rundown of the most basic features available to you in Office 365’s OneDrive. To see more, and watch the video tutorials that Microsoft has created about OneDrive, visit the link below:

To access OneDrive

  • Go to https://office.com in any web browser. Both Mac OS and Windows are supported
  • Log in with your MSU credentials.
  • Click on the App Launcher in the upper left hand corner to show all of the apps you have access to

  • Choose “OneDrive.” If you don’t see OneDrive in the list of apps, click the “All apps->” link at the bottom to list all apps in Office365

Uploading files and folders

  • The tabs at the top have an “Upload” button, or you can drag and drop files or folders from your file explorer into your OneDrive folder.

  • By default, they’re only visible by you. Click any file to view or edit it.

Sharing

  • Select the file or folder you’d like to share
  • Click the Share icon or chose the Share tab on the top of the page.
    Share link: Send link, People in Midwestern State University with the link can edit. Enter a name or email address.
  • You may stop sharing by right-clicking the file and choosing “Manage access”
