Is there a way to check my application status online?
Yes! You may visit the Admissions Application Status page and follow the instructions to check the status of your application.
What happens after I’ve been admitted to MSU?
Once you are admitted to MSU, there are a few things you need to do in order to help your transition stay smooth:
- Please apply to your selected college/program.
- Contact your academic advisor in your major so that you will know what classes to take this semester.
- Take the online distance education orientation, which is required before enrolling in classes.
- If you are age 21 or younger, you will also be required to submit meningitis vaccination documentation. You may submit the shot record to Magnus Health customer service at service@magnushealthportal.com or via phone at 877-461-6831.
- Make plans to take the Writing Proficiency Exam. Please contact your advisor or student services at kari.bell@msutexas.edu
How long does it take to receive an admission decision?
Once your file is complete with all necessary transcripts and your application fee has been paid, admissions will have a decision for you within 7-10 business days.
