1. Applicants must be unconditionally accepted for admission to Midwestern State University.
  2. Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • A minimum combined SAT score of 1200, excluding writing
    • A minimum combined ACT score of 25, excluding writing
    • Top 25% of your graduating class
    • An IB diploma
    • In special cases, other relevant outstanding achievements
To complete your application please submit the following to Honors@msutexas.edu
1. A one-page personal essay that addresses the following prompt:
Tell us about yourself?  What are some of your academic/career goals? Why are you interested in participating in the Redwine Honors Program? The essay is included in the online application form.
2. Please have one teacher you had recently send a letter of recommendation.
3. If you have received AP, IB, or dual-enrollment course credit, please submit paperwork and/or transcripts to reflect that credit.

PLEASE NOTE:  Recipients of the Redwine Honors Scholarship and the Redwine Honors Presidential Scholarship must be enrolled in a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours per long term, passing a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours prior to the beginning of the next academic year. Additionally, applicants who have been awarded the Priddy Scholarship are not eligible to receive Redwine Honors or Redwine Honors Presidential Scholarships but may participate in the Redwine Honors Program and receive the benefits of all of its associated non-scholarship privileges and perks.

The priority deadline for incoming freshmen to be considered for financial scholarships is January 15.  We will continue to accept applications after this date until the program is full.
