  • Discuss your major requirements with your Academic Advisor.

  • Develop a list of recommended courses with the assistance of your Academic Advisor.

  • Ask lots of questions about your major.

  • Advising occurs all summer long, before or after orientation.

Register:

  • Follow your Academic Advisor’s instructions on when to register for classes

  • Register for the classes your Academic Advisor recommended for you.

New Student Orientation:

  • Because advising is separate from orientation, you have the opportunity to be advised before or after orientation. Be sure to contact your Academic Counselor way ahead of time for advising and registration options.
  • Become familiar with campus resources and key people in your major.
